Why These Topics Matter for Our Clients
The through-line across most of these sessions is financial complexity. Digital assets, expert valuation, and tax treatment increasingly determine outcomes in marital property disputes — and cryptocurrency in particular raises tracing and disclosure problems that did not exist a decade ago. The evidence workshop speaks to something more fundamental: a strong argument is worth nothing if the exhibit supporting it does not come into evidence.
The AI session reflects where the profession is headed. Discovery obligations and ethical duties are both being reshaped by tools that most litigators are still learning to evaluate, and family law cases — where the record is often built from text messages, co-parenting app logs, and financial records — sit squarely in the middle of that shift.
