Jasmine N. Pope is an Associate Attorney at Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A., specializing in domestic litigation with a focus on custody, child support, divorce, and post-judgment disputes. A Baltimore native, Jasmine is recognized for her versatility in the courtroom and her dedication to achieving equitable results for families in transition.
Jasmine’s practice is built on a foundation of diverse legal advocacy. Having practiced family law, immigration, and criminal defense, she brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to complex cases, allowing her to navigate the overlapping legal challenges that families often face.
Jasmine earned her bachelor’s degree from Towson University and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Law, was a member of the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court team, and served as a Rule 19 Student Attorney for the Immigrant Rights Clinic, while being deeply involved in advocacy-focused programs.
After law school, Jasmine clerked for the Honorable Sherrie R. Bailey in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. This experience provided her with vital exposure to the inner workings of the court regarding custody and support matters. Before joining Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A. in August 2022, Jasmine further honed her trial skills in private practice and through her work with Maryland Legal Aid. Her experience appearing before magistrates and judges across the state has made her a confident and prepared advocate for her clients at every stage of litigation.
Jasmine is a court-appointed Best Interest Attorney (BIA), representing minor children in highly contested litigation to ensure their welfare is protected. Her commitment to excellence in family law is further evidenced by her advanced training through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
A powerhouse in the professional community, Jasmine holds significant leadership roles with several professional organizations that influence the practice of law in Maryland. She was named a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and 2027. In 2026, she was recognized by the Daily Record as a Leading Women Under 40 Honoree. She is a graduate of the MSBA Leadership Academy and currently serves on the MSBA Leadership Academy Committee. Jasmine serves as President of the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, Inc.; Chair of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Section of the Baltimore County Bar Association, and Vice-Chair of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Baltimore County Bar Association.
