The Women of TNS Family Law | Maryland Family Law Attorneys

Women have shaped this firm since its founding, and they lead it today.
Women in Leadership at TNS
Mary Roby Sanders and Rebecca A. Fleming are partners at the firm. Both are Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and both have been recognized on the Maryland Super Lawyers Top 50 Women list for consecutive years — Mary since 2014, Becky since 2018.
Our associates — Alexis L. Holiday, Jasmine N. Pope, Faith Zellman Khan, and Alexandra N. Comegys — carry that forward, in the courtroom and in the bar. Among them they serve on the MSBA Family Law Section Council, lead the Alliance of Black Women Attorneys of Maryland, sit on the Harford County Bar Association Executive Council, and have co-authored a practice manual on Maryland protective and peace orders.
Why It Matters in Family Law
Family law is not abstract work. Clients disclose finances, describe their marriages, and talk about their children’s needs, often to someone they met a week earlier. Who is sitting across the table matters, and many clients care a great deal about it.
We do not suggest that a lawyer’s gender determines the quality of representation. It does not. But we do think a firm where women hold real seniority — where they try the hard cases, argue the appeals, and teach other practitioners how to do the work — is a firm better equipped to serve the full range of families who walk through our door.
