Christopher W. Nicholson presented at the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Family Law Legislative & Case Law Update on May 19, 2026, joining Ilene Glickman to cover the year’s reported family law decisions and the legislation passed during the 2026 Maryland General Assembly session.
An Annual Fixture for the Family Law Bar
The BCBA’s Legislative & Case Law Update is one of the more practically useful programs on the local calendar. Each spring it gathers Baltimore County family law practitioners to work through what actually changed in the preceding year — which appellate decisions shifted the analysis, which statutory amendments take effect, and what both mean for cases currently pending.
Concluding a Term as Family Law Committee Chair
The evening also marked the end of Alexis L. Holiday’s term as Chair of the BCBA Family Law Committee. Under her leadership, the committee delivered substantial CLE programming for the family law bar over the course of the year.
Congratulations as well to Richard Grason, VI on the conclusion of his presidency of the Baltimore County Bar Association. We’re grateful for his leadership of our local bar.
